My Bio

I've been writing stories almost as long as I've been reading them. I like reading and writing stories where I don't know what's going to happen and I want to know. I received a master's degree in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University and since that time have written and self-published a number of science fiction novels, but grew tired of attempting to sell them at conventions. From 1998 till 2012 I edited and published The Rejected Quarterly, a literary journal for quality literature rejected at least five times. Since that time I have transitioned from being an elementary school teacher to being a novelist. I live in rural Northern California with my wife, cat, and dog (in order of importance).
